I haven't been to this market in a couple of years. It's better than ever, an excellent small-town farmers market, featuring about a dozen top-notch farmers, most local and some organic. Another dozen or so vendors offer specialty items, prepared foods and crafts. 

 

 

 

What I Bought:

assorted stone fruit: nectarines, plums, and peaches

Price:  $2/lb.


tomatoes, basil, pickling cucumbers

Price:  $2.50/lb. for tomatoes; $1/bunch for basil; $1/lb for cucumbers




beets flanking a celery root

Price:  $1.50/ bunch for beets; $1/each celery root


bibb lettuce

A bargain at this price for large, heavy heads of lettuce. 

Price: $1 for two heads of lettuce


 baby green beans

Price: $5/lb.
