Marin County Certified Farmers Market, San Rafael, Calif.

kale from the market photographed at the Marin Headlands
It’s been nearly two years since I was last at this market, on Feb. 24, 2008. It was rainy on that day, too. The rain seemed to have kept many shoppers at home, but not the farmers. Dozens of northern California farms were represented today at the Marin County market, one of the largest farmers markets in the state.
